Story

CrossFit Always Varied runs on CrossAdapt.

A one-location gym in Savannah, Georgia. Its owner, Scott Craig, built CrossAdapt to run it. Since September 25, 2026, the whole gym has run on it: the schedule, memberships, check-in, the day's programming and the board on the TV.

34

active members, 31 of them brought over from the gym's old system

9

classes a week, with 82 check-ins in the first four weeks

17

days of programming published

62

results logged by members, with 37 PRs

From CrossAdapt on October 21, 2026, four weeks after the gym moved.

The move

Nobody's history started at zero.

The gym came from Beyond the Whiteboard's gym product. Its roster came across through CrossAdapt's import, with each member's class attendance and PRs: lift rep maxes and bests at named workouts. Members were in the roster before anyone was emailed, and the gym invited them when it was ready.

Programming went up on CrossAdapt the day the gym moved, and classes have run on it every week since.

A day at the gym

One workout, from the coach to the board.

  1. 01
    Publish
The coach puts the day up as text, written or pasted the way it's always been written, and publishes it.
  2. 02
    Read
It's on every member's phone and on the TV as soon as it's published.
  3. 03
    Train
Apple Watch runs the clock, the rounds and the intervals, and reads heart rate by round.
  4. 04
    Score
The score comes back typed: a time, rounds and reps, a load for each set. Rx, Rx+ or scaled.
  5. 05
    Board
Scores land on the whiteboard and the TV, with PRs marked and Highlights for the week.
