Switching

Move your gym without starting over.

Your roster, their attendance and their PRs come with you. Members stay in the roster without an email until you invite them, so you can check everything before anyone sees it.

Coming from PushPress, Wodify, SugarWOD, Beyond the Whiteboard or a spreadsheet: export a CSV of your members, and attendance and PRs where your old system gives them.

What comes across

Members

From a roster CSV out of any system: email and name, and phone, status, birth date and join date where you have them. Someone already on your CrossAdapt roster only has blanks filled in.

Attendance

Past classes and who checked in, where your old system exports them. The classes sit on your timetable under the class types you set up.

PRs

Lift rep maxes and bests at named workouts like Fran or Murph, so each member's records carry on. A member who already trains in CrossAdapt chooses to merge them or not.

Memberships

Each member's current plan, under a plan of the same name. CrossAdapt doesn't bill them until you move them: your old system keeps billing until then, so nobody is charged twice.

Every import runs as a preview first and shows exactly what it would do. Running it again updates what's there and never makes a duplicate.

How the move goes

In this order.

  1. 01
    Set up
Start the trial, then add your class types, timetable and membership plans.
  2. 02
    Import
Preview the roster, attendance and PRs, then import them. Nobody is emailed.
  3. 03
    Connect
Connect your own Stripe account, so members pay your gym directly.
  4. 04
    Screens
Pair the TVs on the wall and publish your first day of programming.
  5. 05
    Invite
Invite staff, then members. Move card payers over with a "Collect card" email at their next period.
Founding gyms

For the first ten gyms, the move is done for you.

Scott Craig, who owns CrossFit Always Varied, built CrossAdapt to run it. For the first ten gyms, Scott does the move personally: the import, the classes and plans, the Stripe connection and the screens, then half an hour with your coaches. Within a couple of hours of Savannah, that's in person.

Founding gyms also pay a quarter less for their first two years. In return, they give a short call once a month for the first three months, and let CrossAdapt say they use it.

Founding prices
  • Starter, up to 50 members: $63 /mo (normally $84 /mo)
  • Box, up to 150 members: $119 /mo (normally $159 /mo)
  • Unlimited, no member cap: $179 /mo (normally $239 /mo)

For two years from the first invoice, then the price on the pricing page. Every feature is on every plan.

Questions

Do my members have to do anything?

Not until you invite them. Then each gets an email, creates an account and signs in on iPhone, Android or the web. Their attendance and PRs are already there.

I'm in a contract with my current software.

Start the trial a month before it ends. The gym is set up and checked by the day the contract runs out.

What happens to my members' payments?

They pay your gym through your own Stripe account, and CrossAdapt takes no cut. You pay your CrossAdapt plan and Stripe's own processing fee.

What if I want to leave later?

Export members, invoices, payments and attendance to CSV any time. Your Stripe account and its customers stay yours.
