Community
Your gym's whiteboard, Highlights, chat, points and challenges, and your friends on CrossAdapt.
The Community tab
Community starts with you: your streak, your level, how the month is going, and what's next to earn, with shortcuts to Achievements, Points and Friends.
Below that is your gym: Highlights, Challenges, Chat, the Points board and the Whiteboard. Each one shows only if your gym has turned it on. They open once you're an active or trial member; until then the tab says so. If you train on your own, Community is you and your friends.
On the web, the gym's parts are under My gym in the sidebar, and Achievements, Points and Friends have their own entries.
The whiteboard
Everyone's results on today's workout, ranked. Choose the track at the top, then a division: All, Rx+, Rx, Scaled or Modified (people who edited the piece), and Everyone, Women or Men. Tap the hand on a result to give a high five.
You're on it when you log a gym piece, unless you've turned that off; see What you share. To appear under Women or Men, set your Leaderboard division in Profile › My gym. Nobody else sees it.
Highlights and high fives
Highlights is the week's PRs, firsts and milestones from members who share them, and shout-outs from the coaches. Switch between Gym and Friends. Tap to high-five a moment; press and hold to see who high-fived it.
A high five on one of your results sends you a notice, at most one an hour for each result and never at night. Turn them off in Profile › My gym.
Chat
The gym's chat room, when the gym has one. Type in Message the gym and send. Mention someone with @ and their name, and they get a notice. Staff posts stand out, and a push tells you about them. Show older loads earlier messages.
Press and hold a message to Report message, or to add its writer as a friend, report or block them.
Points and achievements
You earn points for nearly everything: coming to class, logging a result, the weight, reps, metres and calories you move, placing on the whiteboard, Rx and Rx+, PRs (more for a bigger PR), firsts, achievements, months you keep your streak going, and high fives you give. Points are worked out from what happened, so editing a result changes its points and deleting it takes them away. Ways to earn on the Points screen lists them all.
Points add up to levels. New members level up about once a week at first; later levels take longer. The Points board ranks the gym this month and all time. It's only ever on members' phones, never on the gym's TV. Your friends have a points board too.
Achievements are awarded for milestones like your 100th class or a year at your gym. Skills keeps the firsts that matter to you (a first muscle-up, a first pistol): tap Add a skill, choose when, and Add. Achievements have Share on the iPhone.
Your streak counts the months in a row you've come to as many classes as your gym asks.
Challenges
Coaches run challenges: a number of classes in a month, a daily check-off, a retest, a gym-wide total, or a team season. When one is running it shows on Today and in Community.
- Open the challenge and tap Join. In a team challenge, Pick your team.
- Each day, tap Done to check it off (Undo if you tapped by mistake), or enter your amount and Save, depending on the challenge.
- Follow the standings, for everyone or by division.
Leave the challenge takes you out. Challenge notices come at the start, halfway, in the last three days and with the final standings.
Friends
Friends can be anyone on CrossAdapt, at your gym or not.
- Add a friend: type their username, tap Find, then Send friend request.
- Share your link or Show your QR code: whoever opens it can send you a request.
- Requests to you have Accept and Decline; requests you sent have Take back.
A friend's page compares your bests, if you both allow it (Let friends compare my bests). It also has Unfriend and Block. Notify me about friend requests and high fives controls friend notices.
Reporting and blocking
Press and hold someone's result on the whiteboard, a moment in Highlights or a chat message, then choose Add friend, report or block…. On the web, use the ⋯ menu.
- Report sends it to your gym's staff and CrossAdapt's moderators. The person isn't told who reported them.
- Block stops them high-fiving you and hides their moments from you, and yours from them.
See and undo blocks in Profile › Photo and username › Blocked. For anything else, email support@crossadapt.app.
Something here doesn't match what you see, or still stuck? Email support@crossadapt.app and a person will answer.
