Screens
Put the class board, a member's live workout or the check-in kiosk on any screen with a browser, with no staff sign-in.
Pair a screen
Any screen with a web browser works: a smart TV, a TV with a streaming stick, a laptop, a tablet by the door. Pairing gives the screen its own key, so it never needs a staff sign-in, and you can take it back at any time. Owners and admins pair screens.
- On the screen, open app.crossadapt.app/tv. It shows a QR code and an eight-character code, good for ten minutes.
- On your phone, scan the QR code with the camera; it opens CrossAdapt at the pairing screen. Or go to Profile › My gym › Screens, tap Pair a screen, and scan or type the code.
- Name it (Call it “Front TV”, “Rig TV”, “Door kiosk”) and choose what it shows: Class board, One-member display or Check-in kiosk.
- Tap Pair. The screen switches over straight away.
No phone to hand? Open app.crossadapt.app/pair on any computer, signed in as an owner or admin, and enter the code, the gym, a name and what it shows. You can also start from Settings › Screens › Pair a screen. Your CrossAdapt plan sets how many screens the gym can pair.
The class board
The class board is the TV on the wall. It shows the gym's logo (and your programming's, if you set one), the class that's on now, and the clock, then:
- Between pieces: the day's whole workout for that class's track, and a This week strip with challenge leaders, shout-outs, PRs and firsts.
- When a coach starts a piece from the class screen: a ten-second countdown, then the piece, its clock, and a tile for each athlete. Tiles show live progress from athletes' watches, then their scores as they come in. Heart rate shows only for members who share it.
The board picks the class that's on now by itself. Staff signed in on a browser can also open it from Class board in the gym's pages, with arrows for other days, a class picker, End and Exit. To set logos, see Gym settings.
The one-member display
A screen that follows one athlete's workout live from their watch: the clock, their round, the current movement with a short demo, and their heart rate. Use it for a personal training session, a competitor's piece, or a station everyone can see.
Choose who it follows on the screen itself, from the class roster (from 15 minutes before class), or from the phone (below).
The check-in kiosk
A tablet or screen by the door where members check themselves in: they tap their class, then their name. A member who didn't book types their name and checks in as a walk-in, if there's room. Check-ins show on the class roster straight away. Pair it as a Check-in kiosk so it runs without anyone signed in.
Running screens from the phone
Profile › My gym › Screens lists the gym's paired screens. Tap one to control it:
- Day
- Today, or another day's programming.
- Class
- Auto · class on now, or choose a class.
- Pieces
- Start on board, then Pause, Resume and End.
- Who it follows
- For a one-member display: nobody, someone in the class, or Find a member.
- Back to the default
- Hand the screen back to its automatic behaviour.
Every staff role can choose what the screens show. Owners and admins can also rename a screen, change what it is, or remove it.
Renaming and removing screens
On the web, Settings › Screens lists every paired screen with Edit and Remove, and how many your plan allows. On the phone, swipe a screen in the list to remove it, or use Remove this screen on its page. A removed screen loses its key at once. Remove any screen that's lost, replaced or leaving the building.
Your own gym display
Every athlete has a display of their own: Gym display in the web's sidebar (app.crossadapt.app/gym). Open it on a laptop or TV in your garage gym and it shows your own Apple Watch workout live: the clock, your round, the movement with a demo, and your heart rate. Until you start, it says “Start a workout on your Apple Watch.”
